When I was young, my dream was to work with children, but my parents steered me towards a career in healthcare because they saw how much I loved medical dramas. I graduated from the Tiszaparti High School in Szolnok as a nurse and assistant and then started working at the hospital's dialysis station.  It was evident for me to come to this field, because when the head nurse gave a lecture at school, I was very interested. Even though it is a difficult field, because we know that our patients cannot be cured and that only transplantation can help them.

As I have been working here for 28 years, I am now responsible for everything, from organising the arrival and transport to training new colleagues. And of course there is the patient care, which has to run smoothly. During busy periods, such as holidays, this is no small task. It always makes me feel very good when I see patients coming to me with confidence, and success stories can be a huge boost. Like when someone comes to us in a very bad condition and we can have them back on their feet in a week, or when a patient has been coming to us for 25 years and thanks to us they have been able to raise their child. Human stories like that make it worth doing.

Diaverum is also a great place to work because it's a great community. We are like a family: there is a hard core of 5-6 old colleagues, and the young people fit in very well. The doctors here treat the nurses as partners, they appreciate our work and listen to our advice. I'm also happy with the working conditions: the machines are modern and we always have all the tools we need. Several training courses are held for us every year, bringing in professional speakers on the topics we request. And as a mother of young children, I also appreciate the humanity and family-orientation of the company: I can stay at home when the children are sick and we try to write the schedule to take into account the household duties. I know I can always count on the people who work here and they can always count on me and my work.  This is what really motivates you, not just the career steps.
