About Warsaw:

Warsaw is the capital and largest city of the country, located in the Masovia region. Almost completely destroyed during the World War II, Warsaw is a phoenix arisen from the ashes. Many of the historical streets, buildings, and churches have been restored exactly according to their original forms. There are many monuments and museums within the city dedicated to times of conflict such as the Warsaw Rising Museum and Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews; both of which are highly recommended. The showcase of Warsaw is the Old Town, entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List – it’s where the city’s heart has been beating for centuries. In the city, you will find a widely-contrasting collection of architecture, Gothic, neoclassical, Renaissance & restored baroque in the Old Town and modern skyscrapers in the center.

Warsaw is blessed with beautiful parklands with green space covering almost a quarter of the city’s total area. The best-known green areas in Warsaw are Saxon Garden, Krasinski Garden and Łazienki Park - the biggest and most popular park in the city and it provides visitors with many things to explore. In the summer here, the famous Chopin Concerts take place in a unique outdoor setting.
